ProMotion LLC, a Knoxville based agency that formulates strategies for promoting and developing the careers of working musicians, has enlisted the public relations services of Lee Zimmerman, a longtime East Tennessee-based writer, journalist and publicist.The new agreement will find Zimmerman creating press releases and biographies for ProMotion artists in need of such services. In addition, Zimmerman will offer guidance in thoseareas of marketing and public relations in order to further the exposure of ProMotion clients in an effort to create a framework for the future.

About Lee Zimmerman
Lee Zimmerman is an accomplished writer, blogger and reviewer. He spent 17 years as Public Relations Manager for the CBS Television South Florida Group. Prior to that, he worked in a variety of agencies and organizations, including Miami’s renowned regional theater, the Coconut Grove Playhouse. Zimmerman currently contributes to several publications, among them, The Maryville Daily Times, Salt Lake City Weekly, Goldmine, American Songwriter, The Alternate Root, Bluegrass Today, Living Blues and many others. His books — Americana Music: Voices, Visionaries and Pioneers of an Honest Sound an Thirty Years Behind The Glass are published by Texas A&M University Press. In addition, he does a popular podcast called “My Backstage Pass” with music industry veteran Billy Hubbard as well as a live music series, “Songs and Stories.” Lee began his record industry career working in promotion for the late, great ABC Records and followed that with a lengthy stint at Capitol Records.
