KNOXVILLE, TN – Alternative rock band SkyWay 61 has released their highly anticipated music video for "Golden Flames." The provocative visual narrative weaves a dark psychological thriller that explores themes of manipulation and freedom.
The video follows a gripping cat-and-mouse chase as the protagonist desperately flees from members of a mysterious cult through dark woods. The tension builds relentlessly as the pursuers close in, culminating in a powerful climax that forces both the character and viewers to confront uncomfortable moral boundaries.
"We wanted to create something that would stay with people long after the music stops," said Alden Duren, SkyWay 61's frontman. "The video is about those moments when you're pushed to your absolute limit – when everything you believe about yourself is tested. It's intense, but it needed to be to match the raw emotion of the song."
The band worked closely with cinematographers at ProMotion to achieve the video's distinctive visual style, employing handheld cameras and natural lighting to create an authentic sense of urgency and desperation. The stark settings serve as a perfect backdrop for the psychological drama, with locations chosen to amplify the story's emotional impact.
"Golden Flames" represents SkyWay 61's continued evolution as artists. The single showcases the band's signature blend of melodic hooks and driving rhythms, while the lyrics delve into themes of identity, resistance, and the price of survival.
The music video is available now on their YouTube page. Follow the band on their social media, @SkyWay61rocks & @SkyWay61official for more details.
