NASHVILLE, TN — Nashville based symphonic power metal force Valkyrie's Fire recently unleashed the music video for their new single, "Burning Sky," and the metal world is taking notice. Produced and directed by ProMotion LLC, the visually stunning clip has accumulated over 50,000 views in just over a week — a testament to the band's rapidly expanding global fanbase and the undeniable power of the track itself.
Shot on location at Historic Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary in Petros, Tennessee — one of the most hauntingly atmospheric settings in the American South — the video is a cinematic statement as bold as the music it frames. The crumbling stone corridors and iron-clad history of Brushy Mountain provide a dramatic backdrop that amplifies the track's dark, soaring energy, juxtaposed with footage captured in the woodlands of Sweden.
Anchoring the track is a formidable guest appearance from Mikael Sehlin, harsh vocalist for internationally acclaimed Swedish metal titans Amaranthe. Sehlin's guttural power and dynamic range cut through the track with a ferocity that elevates "Burning Sky" to new heights, and his presence in the video adds a transatlantic intensity that reinforces Valkyrie's Fire's standing as a true force in modern symphonic metal — not just in America, but worldwide.
"Burning Sky" serves as the lead single from Valkyrie's Fire's eagerly anticipated full-length album, Out of Darkness, set for release on September 18, 2026, via Eclipse Records. The 13-track album was recorded and mixed by guitarist Joey Grimaldi and mastered by Sehlin himself, with cover art crafted by legendary visual artist Jan Yrlund, whose portfolio includes iconic designs for Battle Beast, Manowar, and Delain.
"Valkyrie's Fire is proud to be collaborating with Mikael Sehlin on our debut full-length album," said founder and bassist Dave Hale. "We are proud of the passion Mikael has for our band and for our music, and we look forward to many more amazing milestones in our career."
Valkyrie's Fire — comprised of Bettie Floyd (vocals), Adam Sanders (vocals), Joey Grimaldi (guitar), Ryan Metroka (drums), Dave Hale (bass), and Salem Belladonna (keys/cello) — has been hailed as the symphonic metal powerhouse of the American South, drawing comparisons to Nightwish, Epica, and Within Temptation while carving out a distinctly American identity within the genre. Their 2024 debut EP Ascension, released via Eclipse Records, earned the band widespread critical acclaim and recognition as one of metal's most exciting emerging acts.
