BRISTOL, TN - Bristol-based country music outfit Zak Saltz Band has unveiled the official music video for their single 'Black Gold,' a heartfelt tribute to coal miners and the hardworking men and women who have built America. Directed by Dalton Stout, the video takes viewers on a journey through the haunting landscape of an abandoned mine in rural Virginia.
In the video, frontman Zak Saltz delivers a powerful performance against the backdrop of weathered mining structures and rugged terrain that once bustled with the activity of miners extracting the coal that powered the nation. The video's authentic setting creates a poignant visual narrative that honors the legacy and sacrifice of generations of American workers.
Director Dalton Stout captured the gritty reality of mining while highlighting the song's message of respect and remembrance. The abandoned mine serves not just as a setting but as a character in the storytelling, its empty halls and silent machinery standing as monuments to an industry that shaped communities across Appalachia.
"This song comes straight from our hearts and our heritage," explains Zak. "I grew up hearing stories about the brotherhood down in those tunnels. This video is our way of saying 'thank you' to everyone who breaks their back building this country, past and present."
"Black Gold" is now available on all major streaming platforms, with the video accessible on the Zak Saltz Band's YouTube channel and social media accounts.
